Hailing from Philadelphia with 10 years of graphic design experience in branding, identity and print design, plus eight years focused on Environmental Graphic Design, Cynthia lends an east coast sensibility to the design team at Girvin.
Cynthia's talent in forging relationships among architects, clients and vendors repeatedly fosters successful signage and wayfinding solutions. Her extensive knowledge of this art includes myriad factors such as building design and construction, design possibilities and limitations of materials, creative fabrication processes, readability and visibility issues specific to signage as well as legal requirements including local codes, braille, tactile letters and the stipulations of accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
A skilled project manager, Cynthia has led many large scale EGD projects from conception through completion for clients such as Chozu Japanese Baths, the City of Salem, Intel, International House, Kaiser Permanente Northwest, Michael Willis Architects, Schuck & Hausman and Salem Keizer Public Schools.
Cynthia received her BFA in Graphic Design from Temple University's renowned Tyler School of Art. She is fluent in Spanish and has traveled all over the world, including living for a time in Mexico and Italy. The breadth and depth of her vision is informed by her experience.
