St. Charles: Ameristar Casinos had an all-new $360 million casino featuring 130,000 square-feet of gaming space with 3,300 slots and 95 table games. They hired Girvin to name multiple venues and create a variety of environmental design elements and collateral for these venues.
Collaborating closely with project architects, interior designers and fabricators, Girvin worked with Ameristar to develop a historical St. Charles theme for the streetscape experience. Ameristar's St. Charles casino opened in August 2002 with Girvin-designed environments successfully working together to create the feeling of a large Vegas-style casino for the local St. Louis market.
