
Girvin's naming team created the brand strategy and name for the Gridwise Alliance, a collaborative venture of the US Department of Energy. Gridwise can be described as a formal consortium of public and private stakeholders who are aligned on a common premise - a visionary electric system that "integrates the infrastructure, processes, devices, information and market structure so that energy can be distributed and consumed more efficiently and cost effectively."
This innovative strategy focuses on achieving a more secure, resiliently modeled and reliable energy system. Working with the leadership team from Battelle, utilizing the Girvin facilitated BrandQuest¨ methodology, definitions of the strategic initiatives, visioning and mission, core values and tactical expressions were coordinated for the launch of this organization. Girvin also created the identity, opening collateral and website.
