Motion Pictures
Since 1979, GIRVIN has designed main title identities and brand systems for major motion pictures, working directly with studios, directors and producers to set the emotional tone of a film before the story even begins. The portfolio includes David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the Wachowski brothers' The Matrix for Warner Brothers, and Robert Zemeckis's Beowulf for Paramount Pictures, each built around a custom typographic identity, visual metaphor and title-design system. GIRVIN's film work covers logos, typography, packaging and promotional design that carry a film's brand from teaser campaign through sequels and merchandise.
