Tayls To Tell

Actor, celebrity, and pup-loving influencer Neil Patrick Harris wanted to create a new brand that celebrates the love and care that dog owners have for their furry companions through high quality merchandise and garments. The brand should work universally across cultures and the brand design system should work across all media types—including embossment, embroidery, and silk screening on gear for pets. He and his team landed on the name Tayl, and asked GIRVIN to facilitate the brand positioning, strategy, and visual system.

Happiness In Simplicity

Tim Girvin traveled to NYC to meet with the Tayl team and Neil Patrick Harris to kick-start a BrandQuest® workshop to explore the brand’s messaging and character developments thus far. The outcome of that workshop resulted in a document that acts as a guide for the core pillars of the Tayl positioning. Authenticity and absolute simplicity were key to comply with the nature of global utilization and introduction to worldwide production. We created the happy, puppy-tail-inspired logotype and down-to-earth color palette, and also contributed solutions for typographic style, imagery, and possible pitch-book modeling.
