Small living, the Footprint of Micro places
Small living, the footprint of restrained living
The delicacy of small, thoughtfully crafted, green-built and well-organized places to live in.

Working with a housing development team in Seattle, Girvin’s ideator® naming team built a naming strategy to support the brand organization of a grouping of small places to live in. Walkable neighborhoods, furnished units, no — or limited use of — cars. It’s an emerging concept in the US — and well known in Europe, in other forms of housing and collective living environments. But that legacy, as well, might be found in Asia — it’s a different story, one born of utility, severely limited space, in place-making and the nature of generational support — family, literally, stays together.

The team is kicking off its opening efforts in a defined program launch.

For Girvin’s study of trend, this concept of micro living is the beginning of a wave, and the Seattle building team is on the leading edge of formulating a complex operational offering that will be hard to simply emulate — hence, the ownership of the brand, rolling forward.

Girvin quested with the Kauri team to support the empowerment and coalition of the offering.
The Footprint steps forward — a launch noted here.
